P is the rating. Next up is LT(light truck) rating. I'm getting P265/75/16. I just found a nail in my tire so what better excuse to buy the Revo's now.

Try looking at the Toyo A/T's> they cost me 200$ a tire and I got them in "P" rated. They ride offroad great and they put out the same amount of noise that the stock dunlops did! :D

You are telling him to get a tire that is way more expensive than both the options he is considering?

I am going to go Revo 2's when I need tires. BFGs are good...but they know that and make you pay out the ass just for the name. The revos beat them in almost every category, are lighter, and cost less.

I understand, I'm just sayin that the only BFGs I ever used were those and they were not all that great. I realize that the KOs are beefier I just wish I knew how they handled in rain and snow compared to the revos since the winters here do get pretty rough.

So should I go with the P rating or LT?

I've never heard of them but they are pricey as hell.

Thanks I'll more than likely go with those.

Thank you! This post right here put me on the revos side for sure, thanks alot.

Go with P since you do minimal off roading.

I've had the Revos twice--have them on my DC right now and love em. I've also had the BFGs and they were noisier, and in my opinion didn't do as well in water or snow, but were better in sand and both about same in dry dirt and mud.

Also, 265/75/16 fits with stock suspension. That's a little taller than the 265/70/16 that's stock on the TRD--looks cool, but does tax the engine a bit more.

    Just my $0.02.

I've owned seval sets of both and much prefer the revo in every aspect over the bfg at. I just picked up a set of revo 2s as so far have been very impressed with the wet traction with the recent monsoons we've had lately. Just my 2 cents...

Thank you thats what I'll prob get. What would you recommend the LTs for?

Thank you for the input. To my understanding the harder the compound in the tires the faster they wear and vise verse.

Thank you. I think I'll go with 265/75/16, as long as they don't get worse mpg than the stock BFGs I'll be more than pleased.

Thank you, just another reason for me to go with the revos.

Thicker(LT) tires are usually used for heavier vehicles, towing or usual off-roading. It's a thicker tire so it can handle more weight. And it holds up to things trying to puncture the sidewall or tread while on the trail a little better than P's.

    Zac has it spot on^^

And Luke if you are looking to save MPGs I would stick with 265/70, that are going to be lighter and not quite as tall, thus saving the increase in rotational mass. It shouldn't be a huge difference but it will help a little

Exact opposite. Harder compound means they'll wear slower.

My vote for the BFG A/T. Had them and they did well in almost anything (if you air down.)

    Gotcha thank you.

Thanks for that. What if I went with 275/70

    Thanks for the clarification.

When did you have to air down to get them to perform good?
