Baldtaco... your set up look SICK!!! I hope I can get my set up soon. I plan on going with XD Series also just the Balzac 786 black.

How much did your mileage drop after the setup?

the smallest rim in this model is 18 X 10

I bought the lift straight from toyect and my buddy and I put it in ourselves. Took a little longer than what we had hoped but got it in none the less.

    Kristopher,

I saw those rims and really liked them, I just didn't want anything over 17". Those are sweet though. As for the mileage I havent kept track lately. Guess I don't want to know subconsciously, afriad of what I will find out. LOL

Ok here are the pics from the sound system I had installed. I'll get figures on how much I've actually spent. Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $2k. Crazy but it adds up fast. I saved a lot of money buying stuff of e-bay.

Password for the album is tacoma.

Hey dude, the truck looks really good. Questions; are you having any driveline vibrations after the 3 inch lift? How are the angles of your CV joints? Did you use a diff drop? Did you have to lower the carrier bearing? I did all of the above after installing a ToyTec kit, got pretty frustrated with the vibes and took it all off, sold it on ebay. It didn't ride all that bad, it just had the vibes and hums that come to some Dbl Cabs due to that stupid 2 piece driveshaft. Again, your truck looks great.

    dwb,

Christ, now you got me worried.....I don't seem to be experiencing any of those things. No vibrations, no wobbles, no nothing. I didnt change anything on the truck other than the front springs and the rear add a leaf.

You won't have any problems up front, I just realized yours is a Prerunner, so you have no CV's or the need for diff drop. Hey if the truck rides smooth, then enjoy. The main problem with lifting a Dbl Cab is that dang 2 piece shaft and carrier bearing. If you don't get a vibe when you first take off, then you are good to go. I'm going to lift mine again, but this time I'm going with the Bilstein 5100's, rear leaf TSB with a 1" block and a Tom Wood custom one piece driveshaft. But like I said before, your truck looks very nice.....enjoy it.

Jucara, my rims are the 17x9,l -12 offset and 4.53 backspace, there was hardly any rubbing at all, very little trim job

K&N Drop in, Bilstein 5100's in front with Readylift kit on top for a 3 in. lift in the front and a 1 in. block in the rear. Next project is going to be TRD Supercharger and Camburg coilover long travel system with custom skid plate and tubes. Maybe some new tires and wheels then..
Nice looking ride Bald..congrats on getting the lift and tires/wheels you wanted..they look really good man..

I was wondering with new tires and rims and lift kit does that affect the TOYOTA TACOMA warranty in any way ?

I am pretty sure the aftermarket lift kit takes away the suspension portion of your warranty. The rest of it still applies just not that part. The messed up part is you can get the exact same set up at the dealer if they install it and then the warranty still applies. If you go to a place and have the lift installed then that place will generally give you a seperate warranty on the parts and labor that they do but if you do all the work yourself then you are pretty much screwed.
