Hey guys, new to the forum. Trying to make up my mind on this wheel and need a second opinion. I haven't seen any Tacoma's on this site with this particular wheel. It is the Pro Comp Xtreme 7105. It's available in 17-20" and I'm leaning towards the 18" with possibly a 275/60R18 tire, yes I realize that there's only a limited selection at that size. I have no immediate plans of any suspension modifications for a TRD Sport. Question is, will this setup look good, be free from rubbing? I'm trying to make up my mind and welcome opinions!

Here's a pic of the wheel in question:

Here's the FJ which caught my attention with these wheels:

That's a nice setup...should look good on your 2nd gen.

    Too few to list.
Is that the TRD FJ? You should ask the owner for his TRD wheels.

my 2 cents, the taller the rim and lower profile the tire , the less usable they are offroad. You smack a rim and b'bye. I'd stay 16", which I'm sure you considered, or settle on 17".

I agree whole heartedly with you if I was gonna be doing a lot of off roading, than the 16" would be the way to go. With a few exceptions, the most "offroad" exposure my truck gets are muddy dirt roads. I get to Colorado from time to time to have some fun, but not that frequently. I'm basically looking for a setup ideal for primarily paved road usage, with semi-frequent dirt/mud road jaunts.

I would if I knew the owner. I'm guessing the owner already sold them, as this FJ was at a dealership somewhere in California.

I'm thinking you may rub with that setup. I'm running 265/65/18 and it's reeeeeeal close to rubbing.

Not sure if it'll rub or not - but it'll sure look great!

Good point that I forgot, they look good! Throw on some Duratracs or choice of tire and you're good.
