Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Transmitter is under the valvebody. You can't see it out side of the rim. It is all one unit.

I live in Spokane, WA and I've been having the same problem :/ I'm pretty sure it's the cold weather cause one day it was 35ish outside then the next day and from then on, it was 25 and below and that day the light went on and has been on since. I got my tires siped at LesSchwab and they checked the pressure and said all was fine. They also said that the light comes on when the tire is 25% under inflated.

It's probably the spare. I live in Alabama and in September I went to Canada for vacation. My light came on and I checked the tires and nothing, took it to dealer up there and they found out it was the spare. Cold weather must have gotten to it...they told me if it was off by 4-6 pounds i think they said the tpms would go off.

Set the spare to 38 and the rest to 36. Make sure you have an accurate gauge. If the light stays on it's time to take it in.

hey i worked at discount tire and they have a tool to reset them also the light will come on if you have the littlest difference between the tires. and some sensors read low when you scan them it will tell you what your sensor is reading. anytime we had a temp drop we would have people coming in all day long with the light tpms light on.

We haven't been this cold in Reno since 1988. The west coast has briefly become the mid west. All though, they are getting hit pretty hard right now too.

Do what I did, fill them up to 40-42 psi you won't have the light come on for years!

I am pretty sure it is just the cold weather messing with the sensors. I live in cali and just in the past couple days it has dropped to 35degrees after raining which is when my pressure light came on. I checked all my tires and spare and all was the right pressure. i started to freak. but i read some other threads that cold messes with the sensors...not that the cold messes with the pressure but the sensors themselves. the light was on all day yesterday. but today it warmed up a bit and just as i was coming back from lunch, the light just turned off. so if all your tires are the right pressure, it is probablly just the cold messing with the sensors. it should go away once it heats up. cant say when that will be but thats what i dealt with.

Looks like you gotta go in for the TPMS tsb!!! No really if your tire pressure is where YOU want it then just ignore the idiot light.

I checked the spare and it was low. After I filled it the light went out. Too bad Toyota put the stem up so I had to drop the spare to get to it. When I put the spare back in, I flipped it so the stem is down.

Yes, I bought a condo in Desert Shores and I'm coming down on the 26th to do some remodeling. It's 9* here right now. 50* will feel like a heat wave.
