wide tires fit on my stock rims?

ok so i lifted my truck 3 inches. I found some procomp mud terrain tires on craigslist with 60 percent tread left for 150 bucks.

They are 33-12.50-17.

My question is will these wide tires fit on my stock 2008 tacoma sport rims???

i have spacers so not worried about rubbing, just need to know if they can be mounted on my rims!!

what the stock rims are 7" wide...12.5 is a little out of my personal comfort zone

if your looking at those tires im assuming you have 17's.

if anything get them if you think its a good deal and keep them till you get new rims if you ever do

i have wheel spacers. i just want to know if those wide tires will fit the stock rims. im not worried about rubbing

 

how are they still gonna rub that bad? i am currently running 285-70-17 without spacers and the only rub the uca at full lock. isnt a 33 about the same size? only difference is its about 1 and a half inches wider then the 285s. so when i put the spacers on, why would they rub so much more then 285s, when essentially its just a wider tire??

 

aren't the stock wheels 8 inches wide, if this is the case, they'll fit fine

 

well i think they are 7.5

but either way im running 285-70-17 on them fine, and i think 33-12.50-17 are only about an inch and a quarter from what the tire size calculator says

 

285/70 is about ~11.2 width

33/12.5 is ~12.5 width

You will rub, as a matter of fact, you won't be about to even mount them since they're ~1.4" wider like you said. Either run a 2" spacers or get wheels with a lower back spacing.

Which bring up the 2nd point: 12.5 on a 7.5" wheel isn't safe, at least I wouldn't risk it.

 

i just put 1.25 inch spacers on so im not worried about rubbing. Just want to know if they can, or if anybody has, mounted them on stock rims

I ran 12.5 on my 7 in wide rims, They worked ok but only problem was that they wore on the inside like crazy, only way to fix this was deflate the tires. From 30 psi to about 23 ish. I eventually went and got wider rims (8.5). Rule of thumb for this is you don't want your tires width to be more than 4 inches over the rims width.
