Which tires?

currently i riding on 31x11.5x16 Interco TSL Super Swampers..and have quickly learned that they were a mistake, when i bought them i thought me and my buddy were going to be hitting the everglades up alot but turns out that we rarely even go, so im looking to replace them with either the Pro-comp X-treme A/T, Pro-comp Radial M/T, Pro-comp X-Treme M/T, BFG M/T KM, or BFG M/T KM2s, but wanted to ask yall opinion on which would be the best to suit me, i drive a round trip of about 40-50 miles to work everyday, i want to get a tire that still performs good off-road without sacrificing TOO much gas-mileage, i dont need the best of either end, but a healthy balance will do

If you want M/Ts...I'd go with the BFG KM2 or the Toyo OC M/T

im having good luck with my procomp xtreme at's, but a lot of people will say go with the bfg at as a happy medium between the two. the only reason i went with procomp was because they were on sale (buy three get one free).

 

yea, im trying not to spend too much too, and the BFG M/T are looking like they are gonna cost me about 830$...which is a nice chunk of change..which is why im looking at the pro-comps..

the reason i looked at the pro-comp A/T was cause i was thinking, if i go down to M/Ts is there really going to even be THAT much of a re-gain in mpg for it to be worth it?

 

The procomp extreme A/Ts are pretty sic looking...theres a guy I work with that has em on his Rubicon and he likes em.

I've ran the pro comp M/T's on my old dodge diesel and loved them, got over 50k miles out of them with only 2 rotations so I would say that they wear really well and they handled pretty well in everything, no complaints. Also ran them on my Jeep, put 60k on them before I sold the jeep and they still had pretty good tread left. I ran km's on the same dodge and only got about 35k out of the set and even rotated them regularly, they were a better looking tire but didn't last too long. No experience with any of the other tires. A lot of people dont like the pro comps but I've ran 2 sets of the M/T's and a set of their old A/T's and loved them all. No flats on or trouble balancing any of them.

Thanks for your input, how did the pro-comp m/ts do for your gas mileage? Was it a heavy drop from the stockers? What about the a/ts?

 

I put a set of Goodyear Wrangler TD's , 265/75/16C on for 550otd.They have a pretty aggressive tread but I haven't noticed any real drop in mpg.
