I am getting a buddy to powder coat a set of TRD sport wheels for me, for free on one condition. I have to strip the wheels clean. He gave me several options but all hinge on whether the wheel is painted, chromed, or powdercoated. I would guess that toyota only paints their wheels, but I want to make sure. Any help would be appreciated.

    Those look very clean.

That being said, I do not have immediate access to a sandblaster. Is there any chemical removal tools that could be recommended.

I sanded mine by hand- Took me about 2 hours total to do that work for all 4 rims...And the paint sticks fine...I assume PC would too.
