If you don't get a good response before you buy then it won't be any better after you send them your money.

Go try Onlinetires.com. I ordered (5) 265/75R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers delivered to me for $745 ($149 each including shipping!!)

Too bad they are in California too. You gotta pay the sales tax.

I am in Texas and if you order online from a company that does not have a store in Texas then I don't pay sales tax. Now, if I order online from Discount Tire Direct, who has a store in Texas, then I have to pay sales tax.

I think this is the same for all states, not just Texas. This is true for all products bought online, tires, bumpers, shoes, etc.

The tip is buy online from out of state to avoid sales tax. I found that avoiding the sales tax offsets the shipping costs.

That price for Nitto is damn good if you don't live in Arizona, Ohio or Texas. They ship for free, don't they?

I wanted to go with Discounttire.com but they have an office in Texas so I would pay sales tax. The price goes to $167. Onlinetires.com was $120 per tire or $149 shipped.

On a side note. Back in July, I bought the BFG KM2s for $165 ea. and Discounttire.com would match Onlinetire. Funny thing the store here said they too would match that afterwards but would not before. Secondly, the Stores don't like you doing business with the online store. It is the same Corporation WTF?

This time I checked the price online and took it to the Stores. I went to two different Discount stores. Both flying a bannner said, "We won't be undersold!" Neither store would even drop their price much less match the prices.

I guess that was their polite way to say we have plenty of business and don't need yours anymore.
