3" revtek lift (6" lift coming soon), Rancho RS5000 shocks, magnaflow catback, K&N intake.
i was told by les schwab that the maximum size tire i can put on my stock 2005 tacoma pre-runner access cab is a 33/1250R-20/10 with a 20x9in rim. with a 4.5 backspacing and it shouldnt rub on the A-arm. but other sources say i need a 6in lift, other say it wont fit at all.

    i only want a 3in. lift.

i need to know if that size tire is going to be a problem or not if i do the 3in. lift only, or if i really do need to get the 6in. lift.

from my understanding, i thought that no matter how high u lift it, the spacing from the tire and the A-arm doesnt change...

    please help.....

w/ a 3" lift, u should be able to run a 33x11.5 w/ minimal running on fender plastic. as for the wider 12.5, i have no idea

I just installed a readyiift 2.5 " leveling kit on my 06' and I'm trying to decide on either a P265/70/17 or a P255/75/17 with the stock rims. I'm also curious about the A arm clearance as well. With my P265/65/17's turned completely I have about 1 inch to spare. Does anybody know if I'll need spacers or should I be ok with either tire size ????

3" Revtek Suspension Lift with a rear aal, 285/70/17 Pro Comp Xtreme M/T & Pro Comp Extreme Alloy 7189 wheels, magna flow exhaust, CB with dual antennas, AFE Cold Air Intake, CB Radio with dual antennas and a bull horn
I just put a 3" Revtek lift with 285/70R17 on and it rubbed a little on the fender plastic, but nothing that was easy to fix with a pair of heavy duty scissors. I'm really happy with the whole setup

tire size doesnt mean anything when it comes to a arm clearance I had super swamper 36x15.50 's on my taco its all about the backspacing on your wheels 4.5 sounds kinda close for a 12.5 tire ...
