Yeah, um, yeah, I'm going to need to get some 18's. My truck never leaves the pavement, barely leaves the driveway.

    The look awesome.

I know this is an old post was getting some Ideals as I am looking to buy another yota.Really like them xd monsters.Going to get me a set with a white pick up here soon.Had the Nissan Titan for a bit but nothing beets these tacomas. But any way you can get a lot of lift out of these yotas before having to get more expensive kits and crossmembers.I would look into sway away suspension they have a nice set up with some adjustable coil overs and a longer travel upper controll arm.Or if your on a big budjet just block it.You can get up to close to 4 inches of lift with the modified upper control arm and still have a nice ride.Wheels are perfect.Toyos are awsome? On and off rd.:cheers:But any way if it were my ride I would lift. You wont regret it.You are still going to get some rub.If you want to just block it.It is pretty symple its all bolt on.I would go with 2-2.5 in the front to level it out.Just pull the strut out and bolt the block on.May need to compress srpring a little to get back in or just unbolt the sway bar.May need to add a 1 inch block to the rear but do last as I am not sure how she will set but yah 1 inch in the back sounds about right and you wont need to change shocks our or adjust anti lock break censor or break cable adjustments.I would look into what kits sway away has to offer its all about the suspension and sway away affers a replacement adjustable coil over which is really nice 1- 3 inches of lift along with a couple more inches of susp.travel but you will need to replace the uper controll arm that will match the suspensions travle with out comming into contact with the strut mount bucket.

    looks awesome man!

can you explain this or direct me to where it's explained? How do you know how much backspacing/offset you need or dont need?: *EDIT* - Had a couple of PM's...The specs on the rims are 4.5" backspace and -12mm offset. Would have LOVED to have found some 18x8's with a 5" backspace and +12mm offset. This would have fit perfectly with no rubbing...even on the flaps.

Hey I was just about to put on this same package on my '11 Tacoma....without the mudflaps, do the 285/60R18 Cooper Zeon's and 18' rims rub?

WithOUT the flaps but with at least a 1.5" lift, you'll be fine. Otherwise, you will rub.

Not too much, actually. My average is 18.5. Occasionally, I'll get in the 19's. For me, weather plays a big role. 70-85°, I get the best mileage. 85 and up, I get worse.

I'm not sure what yours will look like. Interested, though. Post up with pics when you're done.
