So I am shopping for just a set of tires and somehow got sucked into getting 17 inch tires and rims. Through the shopping process I've used the whole we will match or we will beat pricing game. Here is where I am at today after a week on the field, let me know if this is a great deal, good deal, average deal, or bad deal. If you vote give a brief reason as to why.....like I found those rims for cheaper yada yada.

The rims are the Pro Comp 7005, 17x8, 4.5bs

The tires are BFG KM M/T 255/75/17

    I am also getting:
    • Lug Nuts
    • Mounting and Balancing
    • Transfer of TPMS to the new setup from existing
    • All applicable taxes

Total price out the door is $1,325 even. I am aware that tirerack.com was selling these tires at $89 a few months ago, but sadly they are no longer doing that.

It sounds like a pretty good deal. My 4 tires w/o rims for my truck was about $800. They aren't nearly as rugged as the tires you are getting.

This all started with a tire shop here in town blowing out these tires and setting the bargaining point to use with other places. The original shop seems pretty shady but I was able to get a written quote for them and thats all that matters. The price of $1,325 is actually $150 higher than the total price from the shady place but I feel much more comfortable at the shop I'm at now.
