Goodyear Wrangler DURATRAC's

Went over 10k on the tires yesterday so far wearing nicely, they are getting louder with time but that is expected. So far so good best tire ive ever drove on snow with period.

 

I had the Duratracs installed at 15k miles. Now my truck has 80k miles. These tires have gone through 65k of 80% highway driving and 20% off roading. It has never failed me in snow, mud, rain, etc... Recently I took a trip to Lake Tahoe and that's when it decided to call it quits. I was on an unmarked trail with hella sharp rocks when it was punctured. Luckily I had a spare tire (factory rugged rails). My Duratracs are pretty worn out but if I wanted to repair it, I'd probably could've gone another 10k miles but I decided it was time for new tires. Instead of going back to the awesome Duratracs, I wanted to try something new so I went the BFG Km 2s. Long story short, I'm very impressed with the Duratracs. I can honestly say they are the best AT tire out there for the money. On my next set of tires either for my Taco or other future truck/SUV, I'll be sure to go back to these kick ass tires.

 

65k miles. I would rotate them every 3k miles.

 

how loud are they when there that wore?

 

Mine are at Almost 40k miles and have a pretty good hum at highway speeds.. they are getting louder and louder.. but nothing like a MT tire..

Just got these tires installed 285/70/17 ... super loud but i love em!! Can't wait to test em in the snow!

I live in Western CO, where things can get pretty expensive. I was just quoted $1189.42 all-in for a set of 265/75r16 C.

Are these tires THAT expensive??
What are you guys paying?

 

Got a great deal from discount tire. Picked up my 265/75r16 E's for $878. Good luck on the shopping. They are great tires!

 

Anyone running these at 235?

 

Price has gone WAYY up since I bought mine in ~2009. I think they had just come out and I paid like $680 for my 265/75/16s. From what I've seen lately, your price seems to be what they're going for now though.

 

Same here. Paid $640 for mine when they first came out. Awesome tires but I didn't get a second set because the price was a little steep.

...so after talking with the tire shop, where the guys recommended Kelly Safari TSR's, i saw a set on a dodge and loved them...

I may be reconsidering the Duratracs. The Kellys are cheaper and almost as nice

Do the E load rated tires still have as soft/weak side walls as the C rated tires? I am ready to buy a set of these now, but, I keep reading how soft the sidewalls are.
