Powder coating my stock 17" sport TRD wheels

So in preparation of taking delivery of my new 2010 DC SB Black Sand Pearl TRD Sport, my dealer is going to be powder coating the stock rims for me (can't afford new rims right now saving for the lift).

I want the rims powder coated Black, my question is what type of Black to use? Matt or Gloss finish? What has everyone else done so far?

Thanks in advance!

Just wait and paint them yourself unless they're doing it for free.

You don't have to powdercoat them, just rattle can them. Tons of write ups on here about doing it. But if you're getting powdercoat cheap just do it that way.

Not a big fan of black rims, but if they are going to do it cheap, then let them at it. Go gloss

I would go gloss if you have painted trim. If you have the black trim and fender skirts then I would go flat black to match these items.

I have a Black Sand Pearl '10, extended cab, Sport, 4x4..I'd love to get my wheels powder coated like you did. How much, and any suggestions as to where to get it done?

If you wheel go matte, otherwise it's just personal choice. matte would be easier to touch up with a rattle can and hide flaws easier.

actually there are 3x types of black....matte,satin, and than gloss. Satin being a good middle ground. Either go matte or satin. Don't do gloss. Gloss black does not really go well on trucks.
