Any disadvantages or running a 9" wide rim?

I wanna buy 18 x 9 wheels for my 05 pre-runner with a +12 offset

My stock wheels are 17 x 7.5 35 offset

I know i'n gonna gain 4mm more of inner clearance and I'm gonna extend out 1.65 inches further to the curb from my stock wheel

So all should work out fine and look good

But are their any disadvantages I should know about stepping up to the 9" wheel?

I'm not gonna have any lift or anything

and I will be running 265/60/18 instead of my stock tires that are
265/65/17

Thanks for any info...

I'm gonna stick with my stock width but I'm gonna decrease the height of the tire to keep the overall dimension of the wheel/tire the same

So lets say the wheels are 3 lbs more in weight per wheel

But the tire weighs 3 lbs. less wouldn't that kind even the weight issue out?

Thanks for your reply and help

Thanks for any more info...

Just ordered them Holy crap what a deal

Black Center with Aluminum Machined Lips

finally found a wheel that had the perfect balance of Silver and Black that I have been looking for...

As for tires I was thinking about getting the Kumho Ecsta STX KL12 Tires like the ones on this Toyota Hilux

Here are 265/65/18's on an 18x9" rim +10mm offset. The 265/60 will be around 1 inch less diameter, but will look pretty similar.
