Konig Countersteer Offroads

I've been looking at rims for along time now and finally decided I wanted whatever was the lightest rim. That meant staying with stock 16x8 size.

They are 16" Konig Countersteer Offroads (flat black) only 18 lbs a piece...or about 7 lbs lighter per rim than stock

They also have a different offset. So all the wheels got pushed out 1", making it flush with the body. Handling has improved from that. Braking and acceleration are also noticeably better.:top: Im sure there will be a mpg increase too....but I wont know for awhile:rock:

Oh wow, I like those a lot, and to hear they are lighter (better MPG) is even better.

I was going to stick with stock rims... but now you got me thinking. And 690 shipped... that isn't bad at all.

Looks good.

How will these hold up to actual wheeling?

Can we get some specs? Is your truck lifted? Do you have a build thread? Looking to get the same rim and tires.

I have a number of these wheels - they look great but they have too thin of a lip and are not the strongest wheel out there. If you are going to crawl malls - great wheel. Otherwise - not the best bet - thin lip and...

Can you see why we couldn't re-seat the inner bead!!!

How the hell did that happen? Now you've got me worried. Are you still running these or did you go with something else?

Thanks for the pics! I've been contemplating this wheel but I will be using off-road. I had black D rings on my Jeep and may go that route on the Taco.
Thanks again, that is enough to keep me away!

I still run these wheels - this was running to the race track in Death Valley. We were going prob 45-50, 18 psi and he hit a rock about the size of a small chicken (frozen not living ). Tire was fine but broke a bead. I think we would have never stopped had he been running OEMs or other wheels. The counter steers are meant to be lightweight - not high strength.

I will be switching out to the new style TRD wheels here in the next week or two.

Edit: Once again, if you are just doing Mall Crawling - these are good wheels and are about the best looking ones for our trucks in our opinion... unless you get Walker Evans!!!

Hey Murph. You make a good point about them being an Light Weight wheel, but Im wondering if the same impact on another aluminum wheel, would have given the same results...Whats the weight ratting on the wheel?
