Bad Tires - what to avoid??

Yep, another tire thread. There are a ton and none of them have helped me make any decision at all, just when I'm convinced I'm going to buy tire A, somebody writes something about tire B and how it's better than A, yadda yadda yadda. So instead of asking y'all what to buy, I'm asking you what to NOT buy. What tires, other than the Rugged Fails, should I absolutely avoid buying? Right now my top 5 are probably the Grabber AT2, Hankook RF10, Revo 2, Mich. AT2, or Toyo Open Country.

Any of you have any of these 5 and DIDN'T like them? Reasons why would be great.

Oh yeah, to be a little more specific, I'd especially like to hear how any of those 5 worked or DIDN'T work in snow. Not much off road, mainly pavement and some dirt road/gravel road stuff and LOT's of snow driving.

 

I have Revo 2 and like them.

 

I have heard that pro comp tires are pretty bad.

THere's gotta be plenty of *tire reviews* already out there that should answer your questions based on what you want/need in a tire.

 

Dunlops IMO = Crap

Just bought a set of the Hankooks. Hopefully they will hold up. Should have them on tomorrow.

 

Goodyear Forteras - terrible tire.
i've got 14k miles on them and at least half the tread is gone.
no experience with them in snow but when the roads are wet if i'm not super light on the gas the wheels spin.

 

I've done a lot of reading, in tireRack, consumerreports, off road magazines, and this forum. That's basically how I narrowed my choices to those 5. I just don't want to be surprised by anything bad when I pick, so I wanted to hear actual experiences.
