Michelin LTX A/T2

Just ordered these tires today for my 07 double cab short box. I was curious if anyone else already has these or if anyones heard anything about the tires. These tires are fairly new to the market and after long debate chose these over BF all terrains so just looking to hear what you guys know about these and if you agree with my decison.

Hi Rev,Saint John NB here,nice to know you........I went with the original Mich LTX M/S in the fall on my '07.I considered the 2's but they weren't in stock and were more expensive.Beautiful looking tire and Michelin is hard to beat for comfort and wearability.I think you made a great choice and will be as pleased as punch.One thing I did do was move up in size a little and they fill out the wheelwells nicely with a beefier look IMO....Check my pics.

 

I have been asking for 265/70's instead of the stock 265/65 size and theres been some dealers claiming that it wouldnt work as far as my speedo goes and I may encounter some rub?? have you encountered and problems moving up in size??

 

my friend has some fj cruiser take off on his taco and those are 265 70 17. shouldnt have any probs. the overall diameter for the 70's is only half an inch bigger than the 65's

Needless to say im not very happy. I just got home from going to get those AT2's on and after waiting for 45min a worker comes out of the work area and says the 265/70/17s wont fit. I explained to them ive seen it done on various tacomas on here with no lift and he refused to do the work because he said theres no way those tires will fit without hitting my control arm. so here I am back at square one and no new tires

 

that does not make any sense. your control arms would rub on the side, but you are going taller not wider.

 

Unless there is some unknown difference in the short bed and long I can't see where he's coming from....As Jason said,the only change is half an inch in sidewall,an inch overall and no width difference.

I can guarantee that there are no rub issues with mine and the speedo is still within spec.
