What backspacing do I need???

Im getting the OME 3" lift on my 03 tacoma and am looking at BFG A/T and BFG M/T tires in sizes of 32" and 33". Iv got 16" rims and was wondering what kind of backspacing im gonna need to avoid as much rubbing as possible.

how wide are your tires going to be.. usually 4.5 is safe but need to know how wide your tires are before you can make sure

I just looked up the specs and with both tires the 32" is 10.5 wide and the 33" is 11.5 wide on the 16" rims. Is that 4.5" backspacing still ideal?

If the rims you want are 16x8's, 4.5" of BS (equal to 0 mm offset on an 8" wide rim) will put the wheel about 15 mm (or 9/16ths of an inch) further out than the stock wheel. That will look really good.

I found some nice 16" rims but the backspacing is 4".

Any input on wheel spacers? They would be about 1/2" spacers. Any downsides to using them?

Also Iv seen a bunch that are 6061 Aluminum, are there any out there that are steel? Or is aluminum the best for this application.

You won't need spacers with 4" bs wheels. The lower the bs number the farther away from the truck the wheel will be. Giving you more clearance. But you don't wanna go out too far cause it'll cause other problems.
