    im going to lift my truck 3 inches next week and run stock rims for a while. my question is once i get the money... what size and backspacing should i get to run 33x12.50's?? is that even possible and what do i have to do to get there?

    A few bolts are different.
    16x8 wheel with 4.5" backspacing. tire size will read as 285/75/16.

    Yes, you just have to find tires that fit, like a 285/75/17, i think there are some options out there.

    PS a 285/75/16 is technically a 32.83x11.22x16 but pretty close to a 33x12.50

    Yes you can, but a 33x12.50 is going to require more trimming. I am running 12.50 wide tire, so it is possible.

    4.5 backspacing? and is it plastic trimming or more than that?

    I trimmed a lot of plastic and the cab mounts, but you cant tell the plastic is trimmed unless you got under my truck. It was all well worth it in my opinion, but not every one feels the same about cutting on thier truck.

    it wouldnt bother me too much. i just didnt want to get into metal.. can you post pictures of what you trimmed?
