    I am currently running 265/75/16 with a 2" spacer in the front and 2"shackle with a AAL in the rear. Looking to replace with 285/75/16 will these tires fit with current lift or do I need to go at least 3".

    You will rub with that size especially with stock wheels. It won't be too bad though.

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.

    with 285-75s on a first gen, you want to be about 4" or 4.25" backspace for the tire sidewalls to clear the stock UCA...

    as for the lift, 3" will help the tires clear the frame and the pinch welds at full turn...
