Going to be buying a new vehicle, most likely a Tacoma, and the one I looked at today needs tires anyway.

So I'm curious, with the only other sizes being mentioned with any regularity being 265/285/& 33",

will a 275 fit or would it require trimming the fender &/or cab mounts (crew-cab)...?

The tire sizes in particular I'm interested in are 275/55/20 or 275/65/18...

I'm just looking for that extra centimeter over what seems to be the 265 "norm"...

And the 18" tire would be on the stock 4Runner wheel like in the other thread I started.

    Just curious...

I am. You can look at my pics if you want. I have 275/70/17 though not the ones you were asking for. It did rub quite a bit when i was stock height. I believe if i had trimmed however it would have gone away

Surprised more people aren't running 275s so that they don't have to trim or anything... probably what I will end up going with.

After lurking for a few days and reading about the tire selections most people go with, I'm surprised also...

Although the 275 doesn't seem like a popular size among manufacturers, there's a few different tire options with that tread width...

    :)
