Confirming Wheel Size 16'vs17' (Pre-Runner vs. 4x4) Offroad

    I came across a set of wheels on craigslist where the seller states they came off of a 2007 Pre-Runner TRD Offroad. My research shows that all Offroads come with 16' wheels however, he saying they are 17'. I like the look of the off road more than the look of my 2006 TRD Sport wheels. Did the Pre-runner come with 17' wheels in 2007 and does anyone know if I can put them on my 4X4 sport with no problems? Thanks for the feedback.

    You can put the 17's on without issue. It is a very common "mod"

    I currently own a SPORT with 17' wheels. The wheels that are for sell look like the off road wheels which I like better. He sent a picture with them measuring 17' however, I can not find any documentation that suggestions that any Off Road model (4X4 or Pre-Runner) came with a 17' wheel.

    If he is measuring the outside diameter of the rim and it shows 17", then they are 16"s because rim diameter is measured inside the rim. See pic for reference.
