Tire size with bilstien 1500 set at 2.5"

What are the biggest tires i can fit with bilstien 1500 set at 2.5" without rubbing?

 

265/75 16 or 235/85 16
265/70 17


basically any 32" diameter tire 12" or narrower

or 33" tire with wheel spacer and UCAs and maybe some small trimming

^ This link sorta confused me - I am running 5100's set at 2.5 with stock 17" sport rims. Most people on the link talked about 16" rims or suggested 285's with spacers and rub issues. Not many talked about 17" rims. Its sounding more like 265/70/17 are the biggest without rub issues and cutting or trimming.

Dont all 2010's TRD's come with 17" rimes? I have been looking for tires myself and I would rather not cut or trim my 2010 DC. The debate is endless and most either talk about 16" rims or adding 285 and adding spacers, cut and trim. I am thinking that the 265/70/17 with a All-Terrain's or Mud tire will look the best without rub issues or cutting. Feedback is always appreciated.

 

rim size 17 or 16 does not effect the rubbing. a 265/75 16 and 265/70 17 are same dimensions and as long as they are both stock rims they have same backspacing. So whether or not its a 16 or 17 stock rim, if you put 285 wide you need spacers and ucas.
