What size rubber? I'm about ready to do the same thing. The FJ wheels are in the mail, the 3" ToyTec lift is in the mail w/ the diff drop, and I'm about to go with some Cooper S/T 285/70/17's. I beleive this will work out fine. What's the clearance with your tires on a turn? Thanx Man.

Stock FJ tire size is 265/70/17. There seems to be a decent amount of clearance, with the 3" lift I think you'll be OK with your choice. When these stock tires are used up I'm going to get something with more aggressive tread, but for now they are fine.

Only thing is the road noise. My brother has this model on his Dakota in NY and says they work great in the snow but on dry ground at 70+ they are quite noisy. The best online price I've found is $172 per plus $20 per for S+H. I'm working my local tire distributor over to beat the price. Haven't heard from him yet. Thanx Again!
