Flat black, semi gloss or glossy for rims?

    I am painting my rims today and wondering which one I should go with. I was leaning more towards semi gloss since it's in between the others.

    Flat can be harder to clean, gloss will show damage easier in general. Semi is a decent compromise...I used a Satin I think...which is more or less the same thing-Just a little flatter the semi.

    I used a primer just for insurance...Paint will never be worse off with better prep...but if you skip syeps or don't do a good job you might end up doing it all over again.

    Kind of a dumb question but where is the best place to put the jack and the jack stands?

    Not a dumb question, it's important to do it right. Check your manual for jacking locations.

    So after looking at the manual the front looks like on the frame? And the back on the axle?

    Ok one last quick question. Do I do one side at a time or is it ok to jack the front up put a jack stand, jack the back put a jack stand and then do the same to the other side?

    I've had my entire truck on 4 jackstands before , as long as they're on level ground and the stands are at steady locations ,e.g. frame, rear axle.

    Ok thanks. Will post pics in the morning. Going to go jack it up and take the wheels off and let the dry overnight
