biggest tire with stock rims and 4.5" lift

Hey guys, I'm trying to get some new tires and I had a few questions,
1) could I fit a 305/75 or a 315/70 on the stock '01 trd/tacoma 16 alloys
2) would these sizes fit with 4.5" of lift? (3" suspension, 1.5" body)
3) would I be looking at a big decrease in MPG going from 285/75 to either of these sizes
4)how would the ride be different going from a D load range to a E.

I tried using the 8 ball search function and all four answers were the same.

 

So what would be possible then?

 

with stock rims, you can run a 265/75/16. if you go wider then you may rub the upper control arm.

however, if you get wheels spacers, then you can at least go up to a 285/295, but i dont know if you could get a 305 or even a 315 because of the width of the rim. the stock rim is only 7 inches wide and i think once you get to a 305/315, you need an 8 inch wide rim to mount them on.

 

305 would more than likely be the highest I would go, just to have a wider foot print. I know 315 would probably require new gears. I just wasn't absolutely sure with the 7" wide rim if it would really work or not. I already have a set of spacers so that wouldn't be a issue.

 

I have 305 (33's) on 8" wide wheels and no way I would run them on 7" wide rims. You won't even find a tire manufacturer that would even suggest or recomend a wheel that narrow. Could you do it anyway without killing yourself? Maybe but if nothing else the tires would wear out like crap and truck at least on road would handle like ass on a stick..
