My truck came with 245/75-16" tares!I Wonder when these wear out can I move up to the 265/70-16" tires and not have big hassle with warranty or odometer? Any info or advise helpful !

    Thanks!

yes you can go with the 265/70/16 and maybe also the 265/75/16, with out rubbing issues i believe. speedo wont be off by much at all, very insignificant at best.

265/70/16 is what the TRD OR package comes with, so there is no problem. If you go with the 265/75/16, your speedo will be slightly slower (3.4% or when reading 60 MPH it is really 62 MPH).

Go0d Lord did Toyota put some junk on my Tacoma, they list for $59 on Tire Rack.com and are rated 63rd out of 64. Now thats bad,if I get over 30K I'll be surprised. I'll probably buy the Avon truck tire off of Tire Rack, they are rated 2nd out of 64,with price that is excellent ,Consumers Report rate them as a best buy. They aren't an off road tire but they will do fine on a sandy beaches. Soon as these Baloney Skins give it up I'll buy the Avons!;)

I've put a set of FJ Cruiser wheels and tires, 265/70/17, under my ride and the fit is perfect. It's too bad the tires are crap. Wrangler Silent Armours will be going on after the summer. Let us know what you think of them after you get a set Tacomaman06.
