I have a 2011 V6 Auto 4x4 with a OME 3 inch lift on it. I am planning on getting some new tires to go on some 16 inch TRD wheels. I was thinking of going with the 255/85's because of their height. But will I lose alot of power and mpg by doing this? Or is it better to get a smaller tire. Thanks

Whats your other option? If its a 285/75/16 you will get better MPG and not feel as much of a power loss running the 255's

I want a tire around 33" but the other option is a smaller tire 32".I want 33" tires but I have heard from some that I would have to regear. Not sure if thats true or not. I was thinking the 255/85's are narrow so I would not have issues with rubbing. But not sure if the bigger tire will cause the truck to not preform that great.

Brand new truck, brand new lift, brand new tires...i thought wildland firefighters didnt make that much money! lol. I would go with the 255/85.
I think that is the perfect set up.

OK. Thanks I will go 255/85 like I was thinking. Too bad they don't make a 255/85 in all terrain.

The cooper s/t comes in a 255. Maybe you should look into it if you want an a/t.
