Should I get these for my truck??

And if so will they fit? They are 16x8

Also...what would be good wheels for these?? I dont offroad and dont pull anything! But I drive a lot around town and on highways! So I want something comfortable, safe, and not super expensive!

I have the 17x9 with 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. The tires are pretty good...quiet on the road and handle well offroad and in snow. No complaints for far. I only have 6k miles on them, so I'm not sure about the life yet.

 

How much did those tires cost??

 

I don't remember. I bought them at Discount Tire and I think they're usually around $200 (that's what their website says), but I got a big discount since I have a buddy who is a manager there. I think I got them for about $170 each. I know...kind of pricey.

 

Not to bad! But a little more then I want to spend! I just want average, nothing special, plain tires!

 

That was my first thought when I bought the DC-1's. I was going to keep the stock tires, hence, the 17x9's. But, a gift from the folks spurred me to buy the bigger tires. Lots of people here use other tires, but I think if you are looking for AT's you'll be in the $150 range, at least.

 

Guy who is orderin me wheels will give me a discount if I but tires from him

So what is everyone's reason for picking them

 

I am planning on putting the DC-1s on my truck this spring when all the snow melts. My reason is that they just look so good! Can't wait

 

Durable, agressive, but sleek look. I am not conceited or nothing, but I have had tons of looks, second looks, and even people stop me for questions on these wheels. Not saying others dont, But for me; thats enough to make me think I made the right decision. That and the fact that they look goood muddy, and even better spotless. Definately got my vote:

The first time I saw them was on roxspin's rig, and I loved the look, so I got them.

 

What was your total price... for wheels tires and install!

 

I am getting them I do believe!! Now I just need ot figure out a good tire spec for them...anyone got an idea of a tire that will fit good??

Hmm, I don't remember...I think it was around $1200-$1250.
