Is 22 lbs a lot for 15x9 aluminum rims?

Yah I have to agree. Sounds like a lot for 15x9, specially since they are aluminum. But its not really a problem, unless you are looking for lighter rims. The stock rims on my truck must have been at least 25 pounds, if not more.

Weight is not horrible, typical for a likely cast aluminum wheel.

    Factory wheels 16 x 7.75 or 17 x 7.5 are around 24-26 pounds.

Rotating mass is always a good thing to keep low as possible since it aid in acceleration and mpg.

scs F5's were the lightest wheels i could find. not sure if he makes anything in 15's or not.. but the 16's are really light.
