Hey guys, I was curious how much lift would be required for 255/85/16 KM2's. I am planning on bilstein 5100's @0.85 with eibach coils for around a 2.5" lift. And a 1.5" aal in the back. Would that setup be enough to clear 255/85 km2's? I am ok with minor trimming but do NOT want to do a cab mount chop.

Also if anyone knows how is the performance in mud? Will the skinny width make them perform worse in the mud? I do a lot of mudding with friends and dont want to be the guy stuck.

    Thanks! Please Reply

Sounds like you know what you're doing. There is an interesting article on skinny vs wide tires that's worth a read, has something to do with rolling resistance. It swayed me to buy 255 vs 285-305 something along those lines. I think your setup is ideal just make sure you use about 4.5" of backspacing on your wheels.

Eibach coils and 5100s at .85, I'd say yes with minor rubbing / trimming. I can't answer how good they are in mud b/c I just got mine 2 weeks ago but there is a whole thread about 255/85s in the wheels and tires section with tons of info.
