Does anyone know if a 285/75/16 tire on a 16x8 wheel will fit in the stock location under the bed on a DCSB 2013 TRD OR Tacoma? Pictures?

I have seen the mod for the older 2nd Gen models but it doesn't look like that will work for me. Thoughts?

Did they change around the underside on the 2013's?

So the guides do still look like the previous link. It just looks like it will be a tight fit. I attached a few pics of the tight spaces with the stock spare. I am just wondering if anyone has done this on a 2013 DCSB? I'm okay doing the mod in the previous link. I just don't want to start cutting if there is any other reason this won't work.

I know somebody out there must have a 33" tire tucked under their bed in the spare location on a 2012 - 2013 DCSB. Anyone?

A 285/75/R16 fits. Cut off the 2 spare guides and paint them as in the link posted previously in this thread. Position the new spare so there is as much space as possible between tire and exhaust. On mine, there is about 3/8" of gap between the tire and the stock exhaust. It doesn't seem to get hot enough to do any damage to the tire but I also haven't driven it hard on a hot day yet. If anyone has an experience melting spare tires please share.

Everything still looks good. No tire melt.
