2" leveling kit w/ 33"x11.5" MT ATZ tire on 17x9 XD Hoss wheels.
I have an 2008 Tacoma 4dr, and looking to put a 4" or 6" bds lift on it. I currently have a 2" leveling kit with 33x 11.5 MT ATZ tires, on 17x 9 XD hoss wheels. Does anyone have any suggestions on which size to go with? Can you run 17" wheels on bds systems?

Hey man, did you ever find out if you could fit 17's after? When I ordered my lift the only kit notes that come up are that you need 4.5" of backspacing so I went and ordered my my rims and tires in 17" but I'm getting the impression that they won't fit. It would be brutal if I had to send those back and wait on 18's now.

As far as I've been told 18s in the minimum size wheel you can go with. Bds told me it conflicts with the tie rod and the top of the ball joints. Most lifts that I've researched require an 18". Did you go with a 4 or 6" lift? What size tires?

I went with the 4" because I thought I might still get the full articulation where is was drop bracket but I didn't want to go as big as a 6" and have it be too tippy. My truck is my daily driver but I still want to do some off roading. I had 17's that were almost here and then I had to get them sent back and now I'm waiting for them to get back before they will send out my 18's so I'm just waiting all over again now. My new wheels are 18x9.5 pro comp 5001 and my tires are pro comp xtreme a/t 325/60/18

Very soon, I finally got my wheels in and so I'm hoping I can have it all put on next weekend. The wife and I are planning on building a house so its just a matter of whether the funds are there or not. Any idea how to come up with 600$ really quick? Lol

Yes sell me your lift, rims, and tires for $600 :)

    Jk....

All kidding aside that sounds awesome! I completely understand that lol. I just got married earlier this year. I'm in apartmentville right now and hate it, but I'm not sure where my job is taking me, so no need to buy until we get word of that. Good luck with your house purchase! Make sure you take advantage of the first time home buyer tax credit!
