3" rev on an 01 tacoma. Short on cash. Will a 285/75/16 have trouble with my stock 16x7's? I am not worried about tire rub on the frame or on the fenders. I am worried about the wheel itself making any contact with any of the components inside. Any info is appreciated, thanks, rob

Hey there man, I just got the 3" RevTek lift and Put a set of 285/75/r16's on, with the stock wheels, and they fit, no problem. I got about a 1/2" or 5/8" in the back, between the tire and control arm. I havent had any rubbing, just on the Frame when i turn at full compression. It should be fine!

The wheels will be fine, the tires will be the problem.

what kind of mileage are you getting now with that set up... I am afraid to go with the lift and tires for fear that my mileage will drop like a rock

Yeah, the mileage didnt change a hole lot, and im ganna put exhaust on, to kinda help with that a little. I wouldnt worry about your mileage dropping gerastically. But instead of everything working out ok, and having no issues.

I was ganna do wheel spacers, But i was worried about problems and rubbing on fender or mud flaps. Did you have to do any trimming. Bc I really didnt want to have to do that.

Hey, EverTaco, do the pictures in your gallery include all your mods? I'm getting 33x10.5x15 BFG A/T KO's and 15" black steelies in a couple weeks.

I think the stock wheels are a 5.5" backspace and 7" wide. The steels I'm gonna get are a 4" backspace and a 8" wide wheel, but I'm going with a slightly narrower tire. It all depends on the combination.

Yeah, I just took a look at my tires, and they do rub on the uc arm when i go over bumps. I think I might just get wheels and do some triming if need be, cause i really like my tires. lol... Im sooo tired of these issues!
