Can 285/70-17 tires fit on a 17x8 rim?

    Can 285/70-17 tires fit on a 17x8 rim?

    I have 265/70-17 right now and I want to go bigger.

    Yes, if you have the lift to support it.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    ditto...ur not gonna fit those on that truck unless u have 3" of lift...just fyi...and also dependent of the backspacing

    Well right now i have an adjustable 2.5" lift in the front and a 1" block in the back. With 265/70-17's. My Procomp wheels have 4.5" backspacing.

    Then yes, they will fit, but you will prob have to trim a little. You might have some rubbing.

    Hey that looks nice! Have the same front suspension... So have you had to do some trimming?

    Also I was looking at 305/65-17 Procomp Xtreme All Terrains. They measure (from the Procomp site) 32.6 x 12.1 x 17, which is a little shorter then the 285's which measure around an even 33", But there a good bit wider.

    I wonder it these tires would rub less? idk
