The one thing I didnt like about my base Tacoma was the wheels that came with the truck. This mod only took me under 2 hours and looks alot more clean with the truck. Looks factory and makes the truck look alot more aggressive.

    roll of tape
2 cans of Duplicolor Wheel Paint (wp102 graphite)
    newspaper

I didnt take any pictures during the painting, but its pretty simple. I desided to leave the outside of the wheel stock silver, and paint the inside (see pics). I use duplicolor WP 102 Graphite sold at autozone and I have seen it at Advance autoparts. It sells for $5.99, I bought two cans, but only had to use one for all 4.

I taped off the outside of the wheel putting the tape in the crack around the wheel. Poped off the center cap, Then taped off the nuts, valve stem, and used newspaper to cover the tires. you can use the same tape around the wheels to tape the newspaper to. It will make more since when your doing it.

The best way is to remove the wheels from the truck, but I didnt feel like it. The can sprays nice and even so its real easy, and hard to screw up. It goes on real even after the 1st coat. Go real light on the first coat, wait 30min then apply the second, wait another 30min then hit the 3rd. I put 3 coats total on which was plenty. The can recommends 2. Be carefull to wait at least a hour before you put the center caps back on. The caps take longer to set.

I missed a few spots around the taped off nuts and had to go back over it, which wasnt really a big deal since it goes on uniform even with a spot spray.

    Heres the results

Thats cool, It really looks better than the regular steel! You should put this in with the other inexpensive Mod's. If you did the headlight blackout mod it would look SuperFly!

That's GREAT! I have the same crappy Dunlops and the sooner they wear out the sooner I can get some good tires.

I had a sidewall blow out at 80 mph on those dunlops. So glad they are gone. New taller tires 235/75R15 look so much better on my 5-lug. Forgot about this thread. Will be painting my rims soon.
