I will be lifting my Silver Tacoma this Friday or Saturday, but need some advice on tires/wheels. It's a simple 3" lift and I want to keep my mudflaps.

    My options are:

    1) BFG KO tires (275/70R17) = $1178
    2) Toyo tires (265/70R17)...they don't make a 275 :( = $1334

I like the aggressive look of the Toyo much better and don't like the BFG KM2, hence reason for choosing BFG KO. Truck is my daily driver, so sees mostly pavement, but I don't want a strictly street look.

Will I regret 265's? ....even though the Toyos are much more aggressive looking than the BFG KO.

    Comparison:
BFG KO + OEM wheels (needing spacers) is $700 cheaper than XD wheels and smaller Toyo tires.

    BFG KO:

    Toyo Open Country MT:

    Next option is wheels:

    1) keep my OEM factory 17's and use spacers to fit bigger tires

    2) upgrade to XD Addict

    Examples:

a version of my truck w OEM wheels and BFG KO 265's

def. get the addicts man!! And I dont think it will look weird with a 265 in a MT. Ive seen a few that look pretty good. 285's do look better, but you cant keep your flaps.

Well, after looking at all the numbers, pics, advice...I think I'm going to save some money and stick with my stock wheels + Toyo Open Country MT 265/70R17 and NO spacers. Want to keep my mudflaps. I will have this installed today and hopefully will be happy with the look. I am lifting 3" too. Will post pics later tonight. I've always liked the truck in my OP with stock wheels, lifted, and this truck has same size tires. so I guess we'll be twins.
