tire size on 17 or 18 inch wheel

    i was looking at putting some wheels on my 08 tacoma prerunner trd sport with the 17 inch rims. i wanted to go with 17 or 18 inch rims but what is the biggest tire size i can put on either one of those rims? it has the 265/65R17 but could i go bigger than that?

    It will depend on, if you have a lift or remain stock. With a 3" lift 33" tires are it 285/70/17 or 285/65/18. I don't recall how tall of a tire you can have on a stock truck.
