Baby's got new shoes

Finally replaced stock Dunlops (junk) with some Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2's. America's Tire running a two day rebate sale w/ a $100 mail-in on any full set of tires or wheels. Went there with the intention of getting the P series but they didn't have them in stock. However. they did have the LT265/75/16's for the same price. $850 out the door before rebate. So, I went with them, as I've read several posts that the ride was firm but not objectionable.

True to what I've read, the ride was a bit firm but definitely not punishing. Steering felt a little heavy, but that was expected with the larger cross-section. As I left the store, I asked the tech about inflation pressures. and was told "Minimum 65 PSI for daily driving, up to 80 PSI when towing my boat". I've never run LT series tires before and was floored by his recommendations. Anybody have any input?

Well, America's Tire blew it this time. As delivered tire pressures were all over the map from 40 PSI to 32 PSI with no 2 tires matching. After doing some more searching, I'm starting out at 36 PSI front w/34 PSI rear. Should give me a good stepping off point. Will do the "chalk test" and try to dial it in.

 

How are the tires doing? I may get these same shoes for my truck...
