I am sorry to ask this.......I did look for the answer on Tacoma World But couldn't find..Its really hard for me to find a x-runner or 4x2 reg cab at a dealership. what is the back seat spacing for a Car Seat.....and Or small People....My son is Two Years Old really want a tacoma but i really want an STI. So my wife "Gave me Permission" to get an X-Runner. So i Figured I would ask if anyone had any young children with a car seat that Fit in the Back comfortably?

are you against a quad cab? or are you hell bent for an x-runner? the quad cab is more practical for a family IMO

    Reg cab is the 2-door.
The X-Runner is the same body as the Access Cab.
2wd or 4wd makes no difference... just check out ANY access cab and you'll have your answer.

You can fit a car seat in an x-runner just fine, i know a couple of peeps with kids and ive had one in mine, my daughter is 5'6 and can sit in the back but it gets kinda cramped for her. Ive had 3 of her friends in the back and theres not much room, so you might want to think about a double cab for more room. I have the X and a double cab TRD Sport for family things, plus its easier to take my daughter and her friends places. Hope that helps

X's are hard to find.. good luck..

I just found a 2011 in Johnson city Tennessee,@ Phil Bachman Toyota, I think it only has like 800 miles on it. I didnt care much for the chrome rims but its really clean. Looks brand new. Barcelona red.

i have an 05 x-runner and i have had me my wife our 7 year old and our newborn all in the x.

the car seat fits on a base or just on the seat when its flipped out with no problems. if you have a tall passenger in the front not using a base with the car seat works best for extra room.

we dont all ride in the x often but its do able with no real problems

    Check Build Thread!!
My nephew is almost 3, I can fit him in the back in a car seat easily. Just gotta slide the passenger seat forward a lil in some cases. Fine for regular people, but my family is all giants (6'2"-6'6" tall) so we wont be putting him back there for much longer!!
