fog light area mod

    used "plasti dip" to paint the area black around the fog lights.

    i just cut out the center section and used the mx lower grill and recesssed it

    not bad at all but i have a black truck so not sure it will work too well on mine but good idea and looks great

    i dont think there is much of one needed he just painted the inside of the light area, get some tape and some of the plasti dip that he used and paint away.

    here's a quick write-up:
    remove both fog lights and clean area to be painted (i used simple green)
    tape off edge off fog light area ( i used some very thin tape that i bought from a hobby shop, it looks like pin striping.) then some wide blue painters tape around the thin tape.
    1 can plasti dip, spray one fog light area at a time. as soon as you are done painting remove the tape, if you let the plasti dip dry and then pull off the tape, the paint will come off.
    according to the directions on the can, dry time is 4 hours.

    That looks nice. I was holding out on putting in fog lights because I like the black that my bumper has but if I can do this then HELL YEAH!!!

    whats so good about this plasti dip stuff? why didn't you just use plastic spray paint?
    just curious, because I am about to do this mod also

    I'm going to have to do this on mine. I used the bed liner spray on my blacked out lower valence. I may use it around the fogs too.
