"DRIVING LIGHTS" LEGAL?

I just installed these hood mount ditch lights and was wondering if they are legal here in Texas. I have looked up Texas Transportation Code etc, and there is a grey area it seems. Talks about height, distance, only 4 lights on at front of vehicle at one time, etc. Anyone have some input?
