It's 24' and weighs 4300 dry. The only tanks that are full are the propane. I never carry water in the tanks. I couldn't find a dealer locally to perform the TSB on the rear leafs so something had to be done about that. The leafs were flat when hitched. I had less than an inch between the bumpstop and axle. The Ride-Rites work well although there isn't any good place to mount the gauge. I couldn't find anyone with Super Springs on the forums here or elsewhere. I did talk to some other folks about the Ride-Rites and got some good feedback on them and decided on those.
Thanks for the info! Thats a nice set up you have. I am working on getting an 09 very similar to yours but still deciding on the canopy at this point. Thanks again!
I went with Leer for a couple of different reasons. I was also considering an A.R.E. but I personally didn't care for the moulding around the entire bottom edge of the shell. I think the Leer has more available options depending on your needs. My wife liked the frameless flush mounted windows (they are available on either brand) and was willing to pony up the extra $$$ so who was I to argue?
I do have a setup almost the same as you, have you checked your MPG when towing and do you really travel with your transmission on 4th instead of D?
No I haven't checked mileage yet. I am on the edge on buying a scangauge to check mileage while towing. The farthest I have towed it is about 100 miles. They were country highway miles not interstate so I suspect mileage might be a bit better. I can tell you I got there using about 1/4 tank (from full). I only use D if I am on flat Interstate. Other than that I do use 4th. Do you use D all the time? Did you have issues with hitch weight? Did you have to beef up the rear any?
