well...there are many different theories...so we'll combine them...if u take a heat gun or blowdryer and get them pretty hot, then run some fishing line behind them, tight against the truck, then they should come off w/ no prob. just dont get to where u have to force them too much, b/c then they'll start pulling chips of paint.
I de badged mine too, I used a plastic razor blade and some strong alcohol with a clean rag. After I took everything off I took it into my local dealer and they just buffed up the areas that still had a little residue left to a clean finish. Try not to rush because you will scratch the paint otherwise. Hope this helps.
