11/18/2018Strong and easy to work with. I designed and built my entire console out of this. Very happy with the results and turned out way better than I expected.Just be sure to drill holes in prior to using any screws.Update: 9/9/2021Still holding up strong to the floridian sun, salt, and not showing any signs of age.

Great stuff at a decent price, and its difficult to find HDPE of this thickness anywhere else. I cut mine with a variable speed router set to 1k RPM. I did not have any issues with plastic sticking to the bit, like I've encountered in the past when cutting polycarbonate with a router to get contoured shapes. This stuff just falls off in chips, so cuts quickly and easily (although the chips do make a bit of a mess). Cutting with a circular saw might be easier / cleaner, but I did not attempt this since I saw that people have had issues with it melting the plastic and creating a mess, so I didn't want to chance it. YMMV.

Surface finish on these were also excellent. The plastic is textured as shown in the photo, and came with a protective poly sheet stuck to one side. Mine did have a small scratch on one side, but nothing severe. No major warping was present, mine appeared straight/true for the most part, but I did not check it against a straight edge.

Excellent quality and I purchased the 1/2" thickness. I just noticed that this item now takes 1-3 months for delivery? Pretty unfortunate as its great quality and was the best cost to material purchase when researching plastic sheets.

I used a jigsaw to cut the pieces and they cut very well. It wasn't too tough to cut them, but you do have to adjust accordingly when doing the first few cuts. You need to use the high speed on the jigsaw, especially when doing cutouts. I was able to do a cutout of these Seaboard sheets to my liking.

I just can't imagine using a hand saw for these. It may work but it will take some time and much effort. I like the way these look as they are very sleek and has a nice texture to them. I will try to upload a picture or two to show how they appear in person.

In terms of use, I wanted to use these for a speaker deck in the rear of my car. They provide strong stability and Seaboard is known for sound dampening, which is why I chose this product. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, but now if I need to repurchase, I have to wait for over a month? I hope that's just a temporary shipping issue.

Using it to cover a pond waterfall box which will be covered by decent sized rocks. VERY strong and it does not bend. Originally was going to use plywood and paint black but didn't think the paint would be good for my Koi and it would be another maintenance issue with warping, etc. Bought the 1/4" by mistake and it had to be returned. VERY flexible and not nearly as strong. Yes its expensive but so are the fake rocks they sell online that accomplish the same take for about 4 times the price. This stuff is great - BUT can be difficult to cut unless you use the right blade.

That discrepancy did not affect the outcome of my intended use, but needs be taken into account when considering future purchases from this manufacture and/or vendor. As this issue appears to be prevalent, as notated in other reviews, I would suggest that the vendor post dimensional tolerances for this and similar products; within the corresponding item description pages.

We bought this sample to test for an industrial manufacturing application. I have spent a lot of time, with a lot of different plastic extruders, trying to find sheet that was rigid and strong enough to meet our demands. As someone with experience in the plastics industry, let me say this:

Seaboard is some of the most rigid plastic you can get. It also has a good impact resistance. In addition to that - it CNC machines like butter - very very smooth cutting. The texture is also very attractive and good at hiding dirt/dust and scratches.

This material is pricey, but you get what you pay for in this instance.
