"Called the dealer who asked if I could be there in an hour. Took them 15 minutes to install an new light and adjust the latches. Gotta love that 12 month warranty! Tomorrow cleaning and re-oiling my AirAid air filter and getting it read for my Klamath fish"

"Funny you say that, the truck it came out of had the airaid filter AND a factory filter still in the air box. So funny. I am currently modifying a factory filter so I can have the sealing area to fill the gap. Looked at airaids site and saw when you buy it"

"I'm thinking of putting a pre-filter bag on top of my Airaid filter. Any of you guys have one... is it worth it?? I hear it reduces the amount of dust and lessens the amount you have to clean and re-oil... any other advantages / disadvantages? Thanks. Garr"

"no worries norcal, what your mechanic was describing with the oiled filter only happens when the filter is over oiled. The TRD intake filter is even oiled. You should not have a problem with the airaid filter as is, factory oiled. When you do clean it just"

"maybe the dryflow is the one i was thinking about. i'll measure the opening later. i do think it is 3 inches though. i lile my airaid filter, but cleaning it, drying it, the oiling it/reoiling it gets kinda old sometimes. i think the dryflow would be a goo"
