Ive looked around but havent seen anything good on how to repair the beds if there is a hole or crack in them. I figured id put together what i did to fix mine to help anyone else out. I am by no means a guru on this stuff but i think i managed to do an alright job.

Parts i used: 80 grit and 120 grit sandpaper
gloss black spray praint (i recommend semi gloss)
    SEM Carbo fill plus

    Cream hardener

First i got this hole in my bed from a strap on my outboard motor breaking and sliding forward when some jacka** pulled out in front of me.This is the hole (after i sanded it a little)

I cleaned the area with just some random all purpose cleaner i had in my house and i sanded the hole down with 80 grit sandpaper. cleaned again after i sanded it .

These are the products i used. I found this carbo fill stuff from a guy on here that used a similar product made by the same people that he used to fix his bed however is was a different application and i felt this product was better for what i needed. Its excellent stuff and says it repairs SMC. It cost about $30 after taxes and shipping and i put a link in the parts list of the website i bought it from. The cream hardener i found at walmart for like $3.IMG_20150312_125741907_HDR_zps10a2ewes_4674dea1db73bb296b207d26dc53ffe5527658ba.jpg

Per the instructions it said mix a ribbon of cream hardener with a dime sized amount of carbo fill and make only as much as you could use in 3-5 minutes. Make sure youre ready to go because it hardened up quick on me (it looks like a lot of cream hardener but it really wasnt compared to the carbo fill).

mix the two products until you get one uniform color and consistency.IMG_20150312_131002003_zps2zq2rhnl_10ba87b61ef6445a69c23589abbcef1b17b9e1a9.jpg

Now just apply it to the hole or crack or wherever the damage is.

I waited about 1hr and 15minutes before i sanded it down with 120 grit sand paper. (no picture)

Then i used this black paint i found in my paint bin and it actually worked very well. In the daylight you would never see the repair unless it was pointed out however in the shadow it looks like wet paint even after it dried. Its probably just too glossy for my bed since its already so beat up but if i could go back i would go and get some semi-gloss paint but you can really use either.

    Finished product.

Overall i think this stuff is pretty good. It seemed like the company made some high quality stuff and after it all dried it was hard as a rock. We will see how it holds up but its a small hole anyway so i dont think i will have any problems. I just wanted to prevent any moisture getting in there because the puncture was all the way through the bed.
