Haha wtf. Why would anyone ever do that? They're meant to be used by themselves, they don't need protection lmao

I had ordered a four pack of D-rings from etrailers.com and this is it.

It's a little bigger and more robust than I was looking for, but I'll try them on the cubby hole screws. I'm not sure they will work and may end up being used on the bed floor as extra attachment points. Or maybe with a T nut in the bed rails?

If used on bed floor will mounting hole need to be enlarged? I may shop Tractor Supply and see what they have .

Full description. 5/16" hole so may need to increase that with a drill?

I was looking for a d-ring like this only was hoping for a smaller set to go onto the cubby hole screws. Can anyone that has done that take a good pic so I can see what you used?
These may be way too big for that.

    Thanks!

Used these and smashed them together with a vice. They were purchased at lowes.

Nice. Those bolts come in handy. I have the right side utilized already. Need to think of what can be mounted on the left now. :D

I have very limited tool access and I have the same ones from harbor freight. I tried bending them in my vice at home and they end up closing and squeezing the d ring out of them. I cannot figure out how to bend them together and keep the d ring in there.

I too did the gutter mesh in the lower bumper, not for looks but to protect the ac condensor from debris hitting it after also doin the same thing to my wife's Accord. Her car has a huge opening and as we learned the hard way was very vulnerable to getting destroyed. So I did mine too as precaution but wanted to share as I did start a thread for which died.

But wanted to share how I did mine slightly different. Since the pieces weren't quite long enough to cover the entire length I used 2 of them cut to length hiding the seam behind the middle pillar of the insert in the bumper.

This happened to me too! What I did was put just enough in the vice, then clamped a smaller vice-grip pliars where the ring should be. Bent it slmost closed then put the ring in and bent the rest of the way and hammered it a lil.
