    Hmm so I'm trouble shooting my cig lighter.. Fuse is good, seems like the wires behind the cig lighter itself Are good... What else should I check?? I guess I need a volt meter kinda..

    I know that it will not read the temps on a 97. I presume that means 95.5-97 are not supported. I am unsure about the '98-'00 models. Might be a question for SG.

    Not kinda, gotta. Indispensible for trouble-shooting electrical problems. Be sure to get a MULTI-METER, that can also measure resistance (ohms).

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    It is the fusible link... I replaced mine. When you pull out the cig lighter you'll see between two of the metal pieces on the back there is a little grey wire. That wire has busted from too much current being drawn. Because there is still a fuse on that circuit too I just soldered a normal piece of wire in place of the old link.

    But yeah, get a multimeter too! :p

    Hmm are you sure? I thought the wire looked fine when I saw it, not sure if that matters. I will replace it with wire tmrw and see what happens, thanks.
