Hey guys, I've been saying for a while now that I need new tires and i'm finally in the market soooo....I want a taller tire but can't go any wider than a 265 because of my stock wheels (thats what I was told anyway). I don't have the extra loot to throw at wheels so does anybody have any suggestions  (Currently i'm running 265/75/16's w/ a 3" lift  )

A 255 is gonna be a little shorter and narrower. I have heard a few people running that size and it working, but its close.

I mean in your opinion do you think a 265/75/16 is a little small for the 3"s of lift? Like I said I would go 285 but discount said they don't recomend it and I don't have the extra 5 to 6 hundred for new wheels...

fyi nobody makes a 265/85/16 or 17..also a 255/85/16 is basically a 33 10 16 it really is a great size tire and will not have rubbing issues..and it is actually taller than a 285/75/16....and its also cheaper!!!!!

I run 285/75/16's on 16x7 rims with no problems on my F250.I've hauled my 30'tt about 5000miles overall with them with no problem.
